Procrastinating

I'm suppose to be packing for our trip to Phoenix (we leave tomorrow), but I don't want to do it. I'm tired from a full day of work. I'm having trouble breathing deeply. (It's a problem I regularly get and it's very irritating.) And I just want to sit here and read blogs and ignore the packing job.
So, I've managed to make packing last three hours. And I'm still not done. But I've made a royal mess on the bed, so I'll be forced to finish if I ever want to go to sleep. And I really want to go to sleep.

Hey, if you are ever in Anaheim -- I'm right next to it!

Yeah, you're in my old neighborhood. I've lived the most number of years of my life in Anaheim, though I don't really consider it home anymore. Now all of my family has moved away from Orange County, so there's little to draw me back.
Now when I make California trips I'm torn between San Diego (where my brother lives) and San Miguel. And I never have enough vacation days to make it to both.

Do you like living in Orange County? You grew up in Arizona, right? I had a hard time living in Orange County after graduating from college. But I have a complicated relationship with the place.

No, I don't like living in Orange County. In fact, it's kind of embarrassing. I love living close to my family, though.

Anyway, I'm still inbetween San Diego and San Miguel. ;)

I grew up in a small town in Arizona. Vastly different.

What's in Phoenix?

From the deepest wells of my heart, I offer my condolences as you walk through the valley of of the shadow of packing.

I see that at the writing of the post (a fairly early hour of the evening), you were already wishing you could just crawl into bed and go right to sleep. Packing always makes me feel the same way. And then there is unpacking at the other end. It's almost enough to ruin any vacation.

Have fun in Arizona!

I'm going to Phoenix to visit a friend who moved away from NYC about a year and a half ago. And I'm going to enjoy the sunshine and escape the cold for a while.

And firefly, I knew you would appreciate my struggles. :)

Remember how tired I was packing for the honeymoon. Your help was so appreciated. Wish I could have been there to help you yesterday. Have a good trip!
